The recording of our show from a couple of weeks ago

A few weeks ago I reunited with my friends and wonderful musicians Kate Ellis and Nick Roth for a concert at the Hugh Lane Gallery as part of their “Sunday at Noon” series.

Kate, Nick and myself used to perform as TRE, which means three in Italian, but it’s also the combination of the initials of our family names.

The whole concert was recorded and filmed, so I thought I would share it with you here:

In TRE, Francesco Turrisi joins forces with extraordinary cellist Kate Ellis and virtuoso sax player Nick Roth.
This exciting and original trio combines keyboards, cello and soprano saxophone to create a unique palette of sounds and textures working with a repertoire of original compositions and Mediterranean modal music and re-imagining them through the lens of contemporary chamber music, jazz and improvisation.
