I am so very excited to invite you into this new adventure where I will explore my passions for food and music!
As some of you might know already, I have a great passion for writing stories about food and about my musical experiences.
I have been sharing most of my musings on various social media platforms over the years, but let’s face it, social media can be tedious…both for creators and audiences alike. We are at the mercy of an ever shifting algorithm that ultimately is only aimed at trying to generate money for the platform.
So I have decided to create a Substack newsletter called “Cooking by Ear”
(and playing with Gusto!)
I am hoping to create a community here that is interested in all the things that I love: stories, history, music, records, recipes, playlists and more…
What to Expect
I will post on my substack page roughly twice a week.
I will keep writing (as i have been doing on my socials) about food travels, I will do deep dives into Italian culinary traditions and ingredients. I will write about traditional music, jazz and classical music. I will research music instruments and musical traditions, create playlists, recommend albums through a record club etc…
At this moment all my posts are free but in the near future I will introduce a paid tier when I will start publishing new recipes, start a community chat, create a podcast with interviews on “tradition” (for both food and music), a Ipod shuffle radio show and many other exciting features.
My social media posts will slowly fade so please follow me here if you want to keep reading what I have to say about food and music…
