I'm very happy that you are benefitting from your dietary changes. My daughter has been on a similar journey and is also looking and feeling great. I applaud you both for your self-discipline! I very much look forward to your new album, as I am also investigating my Sicilian roots.

At some point I wonder if you could write a post about the Sicilian language, and how it has changed? Do most Sicilians still speak it, or do they mostly speak Italian now? Remembering some funny words from my childhood!

Thanks for the input, it would be great to write on Sicilian language, I’ll add it to the list!

Am enjoying your blog/posts very much. I love when you talk about Sicily and Italy and music. The food is interesting, too, but I love the music and stories of your roots.

My favorite music posts have been the ones about music history (I loved the one about "early music"), different musical styles/traditions, and instruments (regional, unusual, etc.). I've enjoyed the Record Club posts, but since I don't really do Spotify (I have a free account, but it's not where I go to listen to music), I rarely listen the playlists.

Your new album sounds amazing, and I can't wait to hear it!

The Silk Road Percussion All-Stars show in Pittsburgh was phenomenal! I explained how it made me feel over at that "other" place (FB) and I'm still so impressed by how it felt that night and how it felt the next day, and today. Like creating amazing memories with a fabulous food, only... MUSIC.

I truly enjoy food and music history; sorry to say while I LOVE food posts, being one who eats no animal protein (and I fully appreciate how much any food, no matter its source, creates and sustains culture, there is also room for improvisation in traditional foods IMO, and altering or adapting them has been a favorite pastime for me and my husband.

I seldom get the chance to simply sit and listen to music, as it is how we used to "consume" it in our youth. Life is far too demanding and busy and also, I don't spend a lot of time on the road, so it's hard for me to use that "drive time" to listen to music or podcasts. I know I'm missing a ton of good stuff, but when not forced to be in a sitting position (such as at a concert, ha ha) I am always on my feet and moving. Headphones and earbuds are not always even a possibility when I'm afoot.

Yes, this is my particular problem, not anyone else's but I thought I would toss that info out there so that you know it's one reason out of many why listening to music may be farther down the list of things. However, I've enjoyed the Spotify (I have a free account) playlist of your early music selections -- it was incredibly enjoyable and uplifting.

The world music stuff? ADORE it. Okay, enough of my boring yak yak yak. I hope a little of this helped.
